The first look at the Sizzle coffee table by Wendell Castle makes me think about a leaf with three sections on it. First off the grain on top gives the appearance of veins in a leave due to it being a “live” organism. Secondly, the shape in how it is rounded from the coffee table top to the base creates a perception of being real. Sizzle is constructed of wood and comes in many different color and finish options. The picture here highlights a wooden grain. Sizzle even comes in veneer options with bright colors such as red, light blue, yellow, and orange.
