Whenever the words “a place in the country” are uttered the usual reaction is to think of a large rural house with a long drive leading up to manicured lawns and finely cut hedgerows, of course, that is Jane Austin and this the real world, where most people have to make do. However, making do, does not have to mean going without, take this small country cottage for instance, it is located on the Isle of Wight, which is along the southern coast of England. The building is nothing more than a summer house, which is a posh name for a shed. Yet this place has style and feeling, sure, not everyone can have the lakeside location, but the building is within the reach of most people. As for the decor, what grabs the attention is the simplicity of pastel shades and a minimum of furniture that makes the most of the space that is available without overcrowding the limited floor space, it is truly a place in the country, where relaxation is the order of the day.
