Giorgetti furniture of Italy has evolved into an innovative and design oriented manufacturer from the family workshop founded in Meda in 1898. Since that time Giorgetti has joined forces with the top designers and architects of the past generation who have created simply stunning designs as evidence of their brilliance. Names like Massimo Scolari, Leon Krier and Chi Wing Lo, along with Antonello Mosca and Laura Silvestrini form the group of exclusive Giorgetti designers. One of my favorite pieces is the “Scriptor” executive desk and return that combines a large flat plane with one rounded, and one squared end that is supported by a cone and rectangular element for continuity of shape. The return has a complimentary desk top shape in glass that feeds from the cone and is supported by a cylindrical shaped drawer system.
