Malibu California Beach House Remodel
This beach house was originally built in 1976 and measures 2,900 square feet. The 1970s had many great things happen, but one of the constraints of this era was certainly home construction methods versus the needs of today's family. There are often issues with homes from this era and I firsthand have lived in one of them. There is a bright side to this story, however. This home is a beachfront property in Malibu, California.
In the Western hemisphere, it is hard to beat California for its great weather and lovely beaches. An important element in this remodel was to accent the point of the beach while at the same time limiting less soothing elements such as the road. In the pictures, you can see how they did a fabulous job of opening up the windows towards the ocean to maximize the view.
