Barbie is one of those rare phenomenas which has transcended cultural and geographical barriers and has found a permanent place in the annals of history. From Asia to America, little girls have grown up playing with Barbie Dolls and hence Barbie is truly a 20th and 21st century icon. So it doesn't surprise me much that a Barbie Dream House is in the pipeline which will cost a mind-boggling $3.5 Million dollars. The eco friendly doll house has been designed by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) in collaboration with Mattel and will commemorate the launch of Mattel’s new doll – “I Can Be Architect Barbie.” The house will also feature solar panels, bamboo flooring, landscape rooftops and even a 1,500-square-foot entertaining space, a library, open chef’s kitchen, client-meeting room, a full-floor, etc.
