Cast Architecture took on a project to remodel the Greenwater cabin in Washington state. The family wanted to expand its space by adding three bedrooms while transforming the rustic cabin into a modern vacation home. The results came out wonderfully as evidenced in the pictures. My personal favorite is how they engineered the kitchen with a roll up door that can be opened to the outside, thus connecting the indoor and outdoor space to the meadow beyond the house. What a great idea for entertaining to create an easy entrance/exit when weather permits. The other rooms were fashioned in modern design supporting the overall theme the family was targeting.
