Japanese Furniture Designer Toshiyuki Kita
Here is a white recliner that is a joint effort between Stokke of Norway and Japanese designer Toshiyuki Kita. This recliner comes in a variety of wood finishes. Of particular interest are the angles in this chair.
Combined with the wood as it meets the angles, you can see the influence of master designer Charles Eames. I like the lift of this modern reclining chair as it creates a fair amount of space between the base and the bottom of the chair.
This technique makes pieces appear smaller than they are though the seating area is that of any normal chair. This approach softens the look of the chair and makes it not look so bulky in any living room.

Saruyama Seating
“Saruyama” is interesting polyurethane foam furniture that was designed by Toshiyuki Kita. It consists of three pieces of furniture that when placed together form a near circle.
The furniture set can also be split apart creating three different seating areas that each have matching upholstery which makes them tie nicely in a room. The concept for Saruyama is ultra contemporary with each piece having its own unique seating elements.
