The architectural firm Atmos Studio has designed the uniquely styled Woven Nest for an actress and their brief was to incorporate Japanese design elements with wrap-around shelving and furniture. The house is located in London and the reason why the architects took the rather unusual wrap-around approach was to make the structure perform additional functions without compromising the aesthetical value. The roof-form deploys a double-pitched butterfly roof, angling upwards from low flank walls and a crystalline valley skylight hangs above, flooding the void with light. The house is built around the central open stair and the spaces between the star house a bathroom storage, a seat and a soft-spot and a plethora of shelves.
