Summer sunshine; it inspires those lazy days outside, soaking up rays and a good book (or maybe just a good nap). Remember the season where afternoons spent alternating between lounging in warm sunshine and cooling off in the nearest pool, lake, or ocean? Just as the midsummer sun is integral to your daydreams, water is an equally important element to complete the picture of what the ideal summer looks like. Designer Francisco Rota synthesized these two elements to create the Wave Day Bed. The fluid shape mimics the organic flow of water, but this day bed is all about taking the heat.
The Wave day bed by Paola Lenti is constructed with a polyester and varnished steel frame with plastic spacers. The textured covering is a hand-woven design with weather-resistant rope cord ready to take all of summer’s bright light and hot days. The rope cord is offered in your choice of a solid or two-tone color combination so you can opt with an ocean blue like the waves it represents or branch out to a different bold hue. To complete the ergonomic comfort, a matching seat pad and loose cushion are made from open-cell polyurethane to prevent mold and mildew.
The Wave Day Bed is tough enough for the elements and soft enough to spend a whole day. When not in use, cover the entire lounge with a cover in either Luz or Rope T fabric. An off-season, protection winter cover is also available for the colder months. What will you daydream about while lounging on the cool curves of the Wave Day Bed?
