You have to go all the way back to 1937 and the World's Fair in Paris to remember when Alvar Aalto introduced his Tea Trolleys made from bent birch plywood, tile, and rattan. These Tea Trolleys feature the process of bent wood curved into loops that are strong and light which he used in much of his iconic furniture. Today Aalto's trolleys are in the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art where visitors can take part in his belief that “objects are made to be completed by the human mind.” Tea Trolley 900 features a birch frame in either natural lacquer or lacquered white with black or white ceramic tiles and rattan basket. 35.4″ w 25.6″ d 23.6″ h $3,090.00
