Chances are that most of us will never get to spend that much money on real estate in this life time, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t take a look at what some of the richest people out there are buying when it comes to luxury apartments. Rinat Akhmetov, which happens to be the richest man in Ukraine with a total worth of £10 billion, which puts him on the 39th spot in Forbes’ list of billionaires is the kind of guy that would spend £136 million, or $222 million on an apartment. The said apartment is part of the One Hyde Park luxury apartments project in London, UK, and, in fact, he purchased not one, but two apartments at the top of the building and joined them into a three-storey penthouse. These renovations will cost him an extra $98 million, although I’m sure he won’t mind.
