Simplicity doesn’t have to mean boring. Simplicity doesn’t have to mean traditional. Simplicity has the potential for great and beautiful design, and that is exactly what the Mutabilis Night Table embodies. From Pierantonio Bonacina, designer Guiseppe Vigan started with a basic functional piece, the night table, and created something that you will love to admire. The bedroom isn’t just a place to turn the lights out each night. You’ll want to spend your days there; too, with furniture that makes your days and nights more stylish.
For this collection, designer Vigan chose a simplicity that was anything but plain. Shedding any sense of the traditional square or rectangle shapes, the Mutabilis Night Table by Pierantonio Bonacina is a flowing oval, unencumbered by protruding hardware or sharp edges. Vigan chose to use a supple poplar frame that could be shaped to his will and defy the expected. The wicker cover in your choice of color brings depth in the form of a woven texture that counters the smooth lines of the oval.
The drum-like shape perches atop aluminum cast feet in a tripod configuration, as if the feet support a work of art in design. The functionality of the night table is completed with two low-profile drawers for easy access to personal items. The tabletop, like the inside of each drawer, features an aluminum-colored lacquer that makes the Mutabilis unmistakably contemporary. Turn your bedroom into a stylish sanctuary with furniture that isn’t just for sleeping: it’s for living.
